DSC0146 APOLLO HOSPITALS DHAKA CELEBRATES INTERNATIONAL NURSES DAY 2016The 430 strong Nursing fraternity at Apollo Hospitals Dhaka celebrated the International Nurses Day 2016 while focusing on the theme “Nurses a force for Change: Improving Health Systems Resilience”.

Various programs were scheduled from 11th May to 14th May to mark the event. On 11th May in the inauguration Ceremony, an initiative of POSITION CLOCK was launched. This was done to launch a patient safety campaign with concept of “Zero tolerance to bed Sore”. This was followed by public awareness on the competency and highly specialized Nursing care given to patients in the hospital: Stalls depicting various aspects of Nursing management and infection Control were organized in the Atrium of the hospital.

The finale event on 14th May was Awards and Cultural evening. Awards were instituted in different categories for deserving nursing professionals and distributed. A gala cultural evening was organized followed by dinner.

Shubha Ravindranath the Director Nursing said that the Nurses at Apollo Hospitals work in partnership with the medical fraternity to provide competent nursing care and improve the clinical outcomes for the patients under our care. Our resilient nursing team in competent to look after infectious diseases, disease outbreaks like Dengue, Nipa Virus Infection, mass casualties due to natural disasters etc. They are also proficient in partnering with the public and private sector to participate in community programs which may vary from HIV management to management of nutritional disorders or any other health situation which can affect masses or the country at large.
