Kazi Mesbahuddin lqbal graduated from Dhaka Medical College in early 1969. He moved to UK in 1972 for Post Graduate training and qualifications. During his approximate ten year stay he obtained DA from London, FFARCSI from the Royal College of surgeons of Ireland and FRCA from the Royal College of Surgeons (now Anesthetists) of England. His training included active exposure to all branches of Anaesth esia as per the requirement of Royal College. He had the opportunity to work with the likes of Prof. Thornton of Sheffield University, Prof. Utting of Liverpool University and Dr. Jackson Rees of Myrtle Street Hospital in Liverpool. Dr. Julian Leigh of Surrey University had been his Clinical tutor while working in Royal Surrey Hospital and Surrey University. He was awarded FCPS in 1997 from Bangladesh College of Physician and Surgeon ( BCPS) . He started as Associate Professor in the then IPGMR (now Bangabahdhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University) in 1982 and became Professor of Anaesthesia in Chittagong Medical College in 1989 and then from 1991 to 2005 he worked as Chairman of the Department of Anaesthesia, Analgesia and Intensive care Medicine of BSMMU (old IPGMR). He voluntarily retired from the University to Join BIRDEM in September 2005 and later in June 2006 he started to work in Apollo Hospitals Dhaka.
He is a member of Bangladesh Society of Anaesthesiologist (BSA) and acted as Chairman, Scientific Committee for long 23 years. He had been the founder Editor of the BSA Journal. He is also an active member of BSSP, Bangladesh Chapter of IASP. He is a past President and the Current Editor- in-Chief of the Journal of the society. He had been the chairman of the Editorial Board of the Journal of BCPS, and currently an overseas member of the editorial board of "Critical Care and Shock", published jointly by Philippine Society of Critical Care Medicine. Society of Intensive Care Medicine (Singapore) | Korean Society of Critical Care Medicine I Chinese Society of Critical Care Medicine.
He is an examiner of FCPS, MD, DA at home and had been overseas examiner of FCPS in Pakistan and DA in Nepal. He had been invited speaker on various topics in Anaesthesia in Thailand, Japan, Pakistan, Indonesia, Srilanka, India, South Korea, Singapore and presented research papers in conferences in theses countries and USA.
He has at least 60 publications in the journals of home and abroad. He has written a chapter, entitled "Methods of drug administration" in a General Pharmacology text book Book edited by Misbahuddin and Islam and published by Books and Allied (P) Ltd. India.

Dr. Salim Mohammad Jahangir MBBS, FCPS (Anaesthesia)

Dr. Salim Mohammad Jahangir graduating from Chittagong Medical College in 1978 did his fellowship in anaesthesia in 1983. He was the first to do fellowship (FCPS) in the field of Anaesthesia in Bangladesh. In 1984 he went to UK for training in anaesthesia and intensive care at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh. In the same year he joined as Assistant Professor in Anaesthesia at the Dhaka Medical College & Hospital (DMCH). Since then he got himself involved in teaching and took up independent consultancy in anaesthesia and intensive care medicine. Later in 1988-89 he was again trained in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Medicine in Sweden under the University of Gothenburg. Apart from DMCH he also served Mymensingh and Dinajpur Medical College & Hospitals, Sir Salimullah Medical College & Mitford Hospital and Institute of Child & Mother Health (ICMH). In 2003 he retired from Dhaka Medical College as Professor of Anaesthesia to join Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) as Professor and In-charge of the Intensive Care Unit.
Since 1985 he is actively involved in academic activities of anaesthesia and intensive care medicine and since 1988 he is an examiner on a regular basis for the Diploma in Anaesthesia (DA), Doctor of Medicine (MD in Anaesthesia) and Fellowship examinations of the Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons (FCPS). He is also an examiner for the FCPS of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan. In June 2006 he resigned from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University to take up the position of Consultant, Anaesthesia at the Apollo Hospitals Dhaka.
Beyond clinical and teaching performance in anaesthesia, he is also actively involved in research and innovation. So far he has published 25 articles in journals, home and abroad. His innovative design of spinal needle has been published in Regional Anaesthesia-and Pain Medicine (RAPM) from USA in 2003 and on oropharyngeal airway in Anaesthesiology Clinical Pharmacology from India in 2005. His field of interests are Neurosurgical Anaesthesia, Intensive Care Medicine and medical innovation.

Professor Surendra Singh has joined Apollo Hospitals Dhaka in April, 2007 as consultant neuroanaesthesia in Neurosciences Department. He is Professor and In charge of Neuroanaesthesia at Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow, India (SGPGI). Professor Singh joined SGPGI in 1992 as an Associate Professsor in the Department of Anaesthesia. Subsequently, in 1997 he became Additional Professor in Neuroanaesthesia and has devoted his clinical time to Neuroanaesthesia since then. He has more than a dozen scientific publications to his credit in international and national anaesthesia journals. Apart from Regional Anaesthesia he is keenly interested in acute and chronic pain relief.

After In -service Internee ship, he joined in Govt.job and worked as Medical officer in different Hospital in Bangladesh till 1985. He left for I.R.IRAN. and worked as Emergency Medical Officer from 1985 to 1992 under Health Service of Iran. 
He started to build up career in Medicine and Cardiology and trained Internal Medicine in Shaheed Shawardi Hospital Dhaka (one year) and Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (2 years). During training period he obtain D.Card.(D. U.) 1998 and F.C.P.S (Med )2001 He worked at junior Consultant Cardiologist in Cardiohope Heart Center Dhaka 4(four)years from 1998 to 2001 and Consultant Cardiologist in Bangladesh Medical College and Hospital 2001- 2002. He underwent Interventional Cardiology training in N.I.C.V.D Dhaka and Jeslok Hospital Mumbai (India).
Dr. Md. Shahab Uddin Talukder joined as Associate Professor of Cardiology in Z.H .Sikhder Womens Medical Hospital in 2002. Dr. Shams Munwar graduated from Dhaka Medical College in 1985. After completing internship, Dr. Munwar left for the United Kingdom for Higher Medical Training. In the UK, Dr. Munwar worked in the National Health Service from 1988 to 1995. In 1992, Dr. Munwar obtained his membership from the Royal Colleges of Physicians of UK, (MRCP). He started his career in Cardiology from 1992. In 1995, while doing his fellowship under Professor Celia Oakley at the Hammersmith Hospital, London. Dr. Munwar obtained his Diploma in Cardiology from the University of London. He did his interventional Fellowship from Wentworth Hospital in Durban, under University of Natal in the Republic of South Africa. Dr. Munwar has over 14 years experience in the field of Cardiology. Dr. Sakib Nazir graduated from Dhaka Medical College in 1990.He is the only Cardiologist in the country who had his entire medical and cardiology training/career in the UK from 1994 to 2004.He had the opportunity to get trained in one of the Europe's leading cardiac centers like the YORKSHIRE HEART CENTRE at LEEDS GENERAL INFIRMARY, Leeds, UK. He also extended his skills in carotid artery stenting (For patients having stroke) from THE CLEVELAND CLINIC FOUNDATION, OHIO, USA.
Specialized in performing Transradial (Through the wrist rather than the groin) coronary angiography and stenting. This technique is safer and more comfortable. Patients can go home on the same day. Dr. Sakib has earned a reputation in performing high risk and complicated cases with very good short and long term results. 

Dr. Sakib is also an expert in implanting Permanent pacemaker, ICD and biventricular pacemaker. He implanted the first ICD and biventricular pacemaker of the country successfully and independently. He had his advanced ‘Implantable Cardiac Device’ training in the UK and Germany.

Dr. Lutful Aziz graduated in 1985 from Dhaka Medical College under Dhaka University in January 1985. In 1990 he went to Okayama University Medical School under the Govt. of Japan Scholarship and completed his PhD in Anaesthesia and Pain Medicine in 1995. After returning back to Bangladesh, he completed his fellowship in Anaesthesia (FCPS) from the Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons in 1997. Prior to his joining Apollo Hospital as Consultant, he was Associate Professor in Banghabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University and was the Academic Coordinator of the Post Graduate Studies of Dept. of Anaesthesia, Analgesia and Intensive Care Medicine.
During his career he has travelled to many countries to attend International Congresses in Anaesthesia, ICU and Pain medicine and delivered more than75 lectures as an Invited Speaker. To his credit he has more than 45 publications in different National and International journals. He is in the Editorial Committee of four national and International journals. He is the founder member and is currently the President of Bangladesh Society for Study of Pain. 
His areas of expertise are different techniques of modern anaesthesia like General Anaesthesia, Neuro Anaesthesia, Paediatric Anaesthesia and other disciplines of anaesthesia. He is an expert on Obstetric anaesthesia and Labour analgesia. His special interest is Pain Medicine, dealing with regional blocks for different cancer and chronic pains.

After passing United States medical licensing board, she has done her Postdoctoral Clinical Fellowship in advanced dermatology and wound healing from the Boston University School of Medicine under the supervision of Dr. Tania Phillips- Professor of Dermatology and director of Dermatology and wound healing clinic.
During her fellowship in Boston University Medical Center she was involved with study on Criopreserved graft with the Collaboration of Harvard Medical Center under the supervision of Dr. Professor Haward Green.
She has presented several papers and poster presentation in international conferences.
She has several publications in international journals. 
She keeps herself updated in the field of dermatology by attending international conferences and attends American Academy of Dermatology conferences every year.
She has wide expertise in treating different dermatological conditions, Dermatologic surgery, cosmetic Dermatology and Laser surgery.

Since then he has performed about 5500 cases either FNAC, or guided drainage in different areas of the body. He had been working in different hospitals in Army as department in charge. He had organized the setting up the modern Radiology & Imaging department in CMH Dhaka. He also had organized setting up the department of Radiology & Imaging in the Square Hospital Limited when he worked there as department in-charge.
He has 37 years of experience as Radiologist. He is a Professor, question setter, examiner & moderator in College of Physician & Surgeons of Bangladesh ( BCPS ) in FCPS I & II and MCPS. Dr Qamrul Huda is a UK trained Physician who specializes in Internal Medicine. After successfully completing training, he served as a Senior Consultant Physician for over 10 years in NHS teaching hospitals in the UK (Birmingham; Dundee). He returned home to Bangladesh in 2006.
Dr Huda qualified from Dhaka Medical College in 1973. He entered a training programmed in the UK in 1979 during which time he gained experience in all aspects of acute general medicine. He became a Licentiate of Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh and Glasgow with LRCP, LRCS and LRCPS in 1983. Dr Huda obtained the MRCP of Irish Royal College in 1987. He was elected a Fellow of the College (FRCP) in 2002. In 2004 he was appointed an Examiner for MRCP examinations.
Dr Huda has considerable experience and skill in Internal medicine through years of training and practice. His special strength lies in his ability to unravel complex medical problems and reach sensible clinical judgment.

Dr. Krishna Mohan Sahu graduated from India. He did his post graduation (MD, Internal Medicine) from GSVM Medical College, Kanpur and subsequently DNB (Nephrology) and DM (Nephrology) from Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow, India. After that he completed 2 years of Clinical Fellowship in Adult Nephrology from University of Toronto, Canada. Dr Sahu has more than 12 years of extensive experience in Nephrology. He was associated with more than 1000 kidney transplantations (living as well as cadaver) in India and Canada. In Toronto, he worked with Dr. D.G Oreopoulos, considered to be father of Continuous Ambulatory Peritoneal Dialysis (CAPD). Besides, he has had chance to work with many world famous authorities in various fields of Nephrology there. In India, Dr Sahu worked with renowned Nephrologists like Dr Vijay Kher, Dr RK Sharma, Dr Amit Gupta, Dr. JCM Shastry and others. He was working in Hyderabad before joining Apollo Hospitals Dhaka in April 2005. 

During these 3 years, department of Nephrology at Apollo Hospitals Dhaka under the leadership of Dr Sahu has served more than 15,000 outpatients, 5000 inpatients, and carried out more than 12000 hemodialyses. In the process, it has been able to create a name for itself in the community for quality medical care delivery to all types of kidney patients, including dialysis and transplant ones. Patients with most difficult and complicated kidney diseases from other hospitals of Bangladesh are referred to and successfully treated at Nephrology department of Apollo Hospitals Dhaka. Dr. Rajendra Prasad Mathur completed his DM (Nephrology) from the prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, India and Fellowship in Clinical Nephrology from Manchester Institute of Nephrology & Transplantation, UK.

He has been working in the field of Nephrology for the past 23 years. He has worked with some of the eminent Nephrologists of India like Dr. Ashok Kriplani in Mumbai and Prof. SC Dash in Delhi, and also some of the international authorities like Prof. Sir Neter Mallick and Prof. Ram Gokal of UK.

He is the recipient of a number of awards: two Gold Medals in Final MBBS, National Scholarship, Fellowship of Indian College of Physicians (FICP), the title "ISN Scholar" was conferred upon him by the International Society of Nephrology.

He has held various important professional positions like: Postgraduate teacher & Examiner of DNB - Medicine, Chairperson of Indian Society of Nephrology - West Zone Chapter, Vice President of Association of Physicians of India, Mumbai branch, Reviewer for the Journal of Association of Physicians of India, Member of the editorial board for the book "Medicine Update", Guest Speaker in National Conferences etc.

Dr. Sandip Kumar Dash did his post graduation in Medicine in 1996 from S.C.B Medical College, Cuttack Orissa, India and also Diplomat National Board in Medicine in 1997. He did his Diplomat National Board of Neurology from CIIMS Hospital, Nagpur, India, then worked there as a Jr. Consultant in Neurology. Before joining at Apollo Hospitals Dhaka he was working as a Consultant at Christian Medical College, Vellore, India.

Prof. Dr. Tareck – Al – Nasir was working as professor of pathology in Bangabandhu sheikh Mujib University before joining Apollo Hospitals Dhaka. He was also departmental head and Professor of Pathology at Dhaka Medical College. He Started his medical carrier in 1976 and join as an Assistant Professor of pathology in Institute of Post Graduate Medicine and Research in 1982. during his service life he worked in Sir Salimullah Medical College and as Consultant Anatomic Pathology in King Fahad Hospital KSA. He is a full time examined of FCPS of college of physician Dhaka and MD, MS examiner of different university of Bangladesh. He has many publication in national and international journals.

Dr. Gulshan Ara has completed her MS (Gynae & Obs) from the Dhaka University. She has also completed her MCPS and FCPS degree from the Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons (BCPS). She has graduated (MBBS) from Dhaka University in the year of 1985. She has 22yrs experience in the field of Gynae/Obs. She is trained in advanced Laparoscopic surgery from Kerala and Chennai, India. She served as consultant in the department of Gynaecology & Obstetrics in Dhaka Medical College Hospital for the last 7 years and has developed her skill in modern Gynae/Obs. and infertility management. She joined, Apollo Hospitals Dhaka as a Consultant, Gynaecology and Obstetrics.

Dr. Maya Mukhopadhyay is an Indian national with working experience in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for a period of two years. She has completed her graduation and post graduation from Calcutta University, West Bengal. Her total experience of working in the field of Gynecology & Obstetrics is nearly nineteen years, with special emphasis and Family Welfare Programmers like female sterilization, and has performed around fifteen thousand laparoscopic sterilization operation till date. She was working as consultant Victoria Hospital, Calcutta before joining Apollo Hospitals Dhaka as a consultant gynecologist.

Dr. Monowara Begum has done MS (Gynae & Obs) from Dhaka University. She has also done her fellowship from Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons. She has 20 years experience in the field of Gynae and Obs and she has also special training on Gynecological Laparoscopic Surgery. She has worked as indoor medical officer and assistant registrar at Institute of Post Graduate Medicine and Research Dhaka. She also worked as Resident Surgeon at Sir Salimullah Medical College and Mitford Hospital Dhaka and as Consultant at Shaheed Suhrawardy Hospital Dhaka. She served as Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Gynecology & Obstetric, Shahabuddin Medical College Hospital Dhaka before joining Apollo Hospitals Dhaka as Consultant, Gynecology & Obstetrics.

Dr. Sheeba Khan has post graduated in ophthalmology from Regional Eye Institute Gandhi Medical College , Bhopal , India . She has also done fellowship in lasers on diabetic retinopathy from renowned eye centre Arvind eye hospital, Coimbatore . She has been trained in phacosurgery from world famous phacosurgeon Dr Amar Agarwal’s eye hospital, Chennai, India.She has 14 years experience in eye surgery and worked in different capacities.She has done more than 10,000 cataract surgery till now. She has special interest in anterior segment surgeries i.e. Phaco surgery,manual phaco(SICS),lacrimal sac surgery, Glaucoma surgery etc.She has worked as a consultant in eye hospitals in Ahmedabad ,Gujarat and Udaipur ,Rajasthan also. She has worked as an Assistant Professor, ophthalmology in Himalayan Institute of Medical Sciences, Dehradun , India before joining Apollo Dhaka as a consultant-ophthalmologist.

He was working as Senior Lecturer in Dept of Orthopedics, LTMG Hospital and Medical College, Sion, Mumbai, India a University teaching hospital and Level 1 trauma care centre in India for the last 10 yrs.
HE specializes in Arthroscopy of Knee and Shoulder along with Management of Complex Trauma and Joint Replacement.
He has completed his Fellowship in Sports Medicine from Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, USA in yr 2001.
HE was awarded the Japan Visiting Scholarship in yr. 2003.
HE was recipient of the prestigious Upper Extremity Traveling Scholarship awarded by The International Society of Arthroscopy in yr 2006 wherein he worked with doyens in Upper Extremity in USA and Paris.

Dr. Prashant Agrawal qualified from Nagpur University , India in 1989. He undertook his postgraduate orthopedic surgical training at Indira Gandhi Medical College and Mayo General Hospital Nagpur in 1992. He is Diplomate of National Boards (DNB) New Delhi . He is Fellow of AO International Switzerland and did his trauma fellowships at Katherine hospitals tuttgart ( Germany ) Under Prof. Urich Holz in year 1994. He has been awarded “Lester Lowe Memorial fellowship” and SICOT diploma in year 1995. He did his ICRETT Ortho Oncology fellowship of UICC at Memorial Sloan – Kettering Cancer Center New York in addition to got joint Replacement and Spinal surgery training at Hospital for speciality Surgery , New York in year 2002 under AADO fellowship he attend Edinburg Int’l Trauma Symposium, Edinburgh, Scotland in 2002. He was Faculty Member for Principals for AO Course at DAVOS Switzerland in 2002.
