Recently a rare reconstructive surgery was done in Apollo Hospitals Dhaka by Prof. Motiur Rahman Molla (Fixed Time Sr. Consultant – Dental & Maxillofacial Surgery) along with Prof. (Dr.) Krupa Sanker, Sr. Consultant-Neurosurgery who assisted this surgery. A patient from Jagannatpur, Dhaka with the complain of gradually decreased vision of right eye and a swelling on the right side of forehead which was increasing in size over last six months causing persistent headache. He was seen by an ophthalmologist outside and treated only by giving eye glasses for improving vision. But the condition is deteriorated day by day and the size of swelling is increasing. Then he came to Apollo Hospitals Dhaka and met Prof. (Dr.) Krupa Sanker, Senior Consultant Neurosurgery. Prof. Krupa Shankar referred the patient to Prof. Motiur Rahman Molla. Dr. Molla clinically and radiologically examined the patient and found proptosis and inferior displacement of right eye ball because of bony mass originating from frontal bone giving pressure directly to the right eye ball.
Patient was discharged from Apollo Hospitals Dhaka without any complications and now he is doing fine.
