 Prof. Brig Gen (Retd) Dr. Md Mahbub Noor did his MBBS from Mymensingh Medical College in 1980. He did Grading Course in Anaesthesiology from Armed Forces Medical Institute (AFMI) attached to Combined Millitary Hospitals, Dhaka cantonment now it is affiliated to University of Professionals (BUP). After that he worked as a junior specialist in ICU of CMH Dhaka for 3 years. He attends a Certificate course group in 1st Special Forces group (ABN) Front Lewis Washington, USA in 1989. Dr. Noor did his FCPS in Anaesthesiology from Bangladesh College of Physician & Surgeons (BCPS) in January 1996.

Prof. Brig Gen (Retd) Dr. Md Mahbub Noor served in different Military Hospitals of Bangladesh Armed Forces and become a classified specialist in Anaesthesiology in 1998. From the beginning of the year 2000, he went to Bangladesh Shishu (Children) Hospital for post fellowship training in Paediatric Anaesthesia for 1 year. He was posted to CMH Dhaka as a classified Specialist in Anaesthesiology & worked in the Department of Anaesthesiology and intensive care for 4 years.

Dr. Noor worked as a member of an Earthquake Medical Team in Immam Khomini Hospitals, Tehran, Iran in 1990. He joined in UN Peace Keeping Mission in Liberia (UNMIL) as Anaesthesiologist in 2004 for 14 months. He attends training from Singapore National University Hospital (NUH) in Medical Intensive Care in 2001. In 2002 he underwent a training course in Prince Sultan Hospital, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia for kidney transplant surgery & Intensive Care.

Dr. Noor attends and presented papers in several international & national conference. He has published many articles & papers in reputed journals of Anaesthesiology in Bangladesh. Dr. Noor was promoted to the rank of Brigadier General & Professor of Anaesthesiology in Armed Force Medical College (AFMC) before retirement in December 2012. 

Prof. Brig Gen (Retd) Dr. Md Mahbub Noor worked as Adviser Specialist in Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care of CMH Dhaka, before joining Apollo Hospitals Dhaka.
