Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery Department is not only doing different Surgeries and Procedures, it also runs Separate Dressing Clinic attended 10-15 patients every day for change of dressing.
This Department is doing both Cosmetic (aesthetic) and Reconstructive Surgeries including:
Major and minor burns
Hand Surgery with fixation of fractures of small bones of hands, reconstruction and repair of tendons, nerves, vessels of upper and lower limbs, reimplant of finger and hand.
All types of wound management with Skin Graft and Flaps
Management of Diabetic Limbs and all kinds of Pressure Sores.
Compartment syndromes
Liposuction, Abdominoplasty (Tummytuck), Rhinoplasty, Otoplasty, Cleft surgery, Scar Revision and release of contracture, Breast Augmentation and reduction, Blepharoplasty.
Max fax surgeries i.e. fixation of facial bones fracture
Botox injection
Abdominoplasty/Tummy Tuck:
Depending on tummy size, our Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery department is doing three types of Tummy Tuck here.
Mini Abdominoplasty: Here reconstruction is done below umbilicus, umbilicus resetting not required. Time of surgery: 1.5 to 2 hours. Duration of hospital Stay: 2 days. Cost: approx 45 to 55 thousand BDT.
�� Full Abdominoplasty: Here as tummy is bigger (as happens after 3-4 child birth) , umbilicus gets down to pubic level, needs to be repositioned to iliac crest level. Lateral abdominal muscles need to be plicated and reset towards centre. Time of surgery: 3 hours. Duration of hospital Stay: 4 days. Cost: approx 65 to 80 thousand BDT.
�� Lemon slice: These are sometimes done in case of very big tummy where only slice of abdomen is reconstructed as per patient�s presentation.
