Apollo Hospitals Dhaka is entering into further area of excellence by doing academic exchange agreement with Osaka University, Japan. By this agreement the door will be open for interested Apollo clinicians to do collaborative research needed for our patients and community. Keeping community benefit in first priority already collaborative research is going on to develop rapid but low cost assay to confirm laboratory diagnosis of chikungunya, dengue infection, serotype of dengue virus and genotype of chikungunya virus that swept Dhaka City last year. On behalf of Apollo Hospitals Dhaka, Dr. Ratnadeep Chaskar, Chief Operating Officer, Dr. Arif Mahmud, Senior General Manager, Medical Services, Dr. Md. Mizanur Rahman, Senior Consultant- Molecular Lab (PCR) and Professor T. Shioda, Associate Professor Emi Nakayama of Osaka University Japan were present in the signing agreement Ceremony.
